The Foundation has made a generous commitment to support the ongoing work of Anglicare PNG in the fight against HIV/AIDS in PNG.
The funding is timely as there is a funding shift by the donors and with the generous donation from the Foundation, Anglicare PNG can continue to help their current 1000+ patients who are on lifelong treatment and who will need a continuum of care and support through treatment after testing. A proven fact is that early detection & continued treatment can lead to an extended lifespan.
The late Sir Brian Bell was a pioneering champion to the response against HIV/AIDs, with prior support to Anglicare
Stop Aids then and now Anglicare PNG Inc. This latest donation is a commitment to Anglicare PNG Inc as the late Sir Brian Bell’s express wish.
Anglicare Foundation Chairman Sir Kostas Constantinou, OBE received the donation from the Foundation in the presence of Anglicare PNG Staff & Sir Brian Bell Foundation staff mentioned how excited he was to see Sir Brian’s commitment to the people of PNG be carried on and how this donation would have such a positive impact on so many Papuan New Guineans.
Sir Kostas Constantinou, Chairman of the Anglicare Foundation was incredibly grateful on behalf of the Anglicare Foundation & Anglicare PNG for the commitment being shown by the Foundation in their social and community responsibility.
The donation from the Foundation will directly benefit the beneficiaries in these particular areas:;
